Standard Bearers

A Standard-Bearer is a person who bears an emblem called a standard for an organisation. Many organisations across the UK appoint Standard Bearers to represent their organisation at ceremonial events.

Organisations such as The Royal British Legion, the RAF Association, the Royal Navy Association and many more all have the privilege of appointing a Standard Bearer at local branch level as well as county and even national.

Standard Bearers are often seen parading their standards during ceremonial events, such as Remembrance Parades, Funerals, Race Days, Armed Forces Days and more.

On many parades alongside the associational standards you may also see the Union Standard flown with pride carried by either a Standard Bearer or Cadet party.

Over the course of today via our Youtube channel we will be featuring some stories from various Standard Bearers. So why not head over and have a watch.
